Lash Publications International Wins Tenth Apex Award
Lash Publications International is pleased to announce that it has received
its tenth Award of Excellence from the APEX Awards for Publication Excellence.
The award was received in the Interviews & Personal Profiles writing category
for “Native Scientists Looking at the Big Picture,” by Laurel M. Sheppard,
published in the October 2008 issue of
Native Peoples magazine.
The writing category (both Feature and Technical) had over 650 entries. The
panel of judges included John De Lellis, editor & publisher of Communications
Concepts; Carolyn Mulford, Senior Evaluator for the Publication Evaluation
Program and Senior Writer & Editor of Writing That Works; Christine Turner,
Contributing Editor of Writing That Works: The Business Communications Report;
and Bill Londino, Consulting Editor of Writing That Works.
Sponsored by Communications Concepts, publishers of business communication
reports, including Writing That Works, this is the 21st year of the
competition program, which had nearly 3,800 entries in 11 major categories and
122 sub-categories. APEX 2009 awards were based on excellence in graphic design,
editorial content and the success of the entry -- in the opinion of the judges
